PRODUCT / THREE-PIECE CANS

Three-piece tin cans for your packaging project.

A three-piece can has a body and two separate ends. For a sourcing enquiry, define the body dimensions, intended contents and end configuration together; an outside appearance alone is not a complete specification.

What is a three-piece tin can?

The three pieces are the cylindrical body, the bottom end and the top end. For tinplate packaging, the body material is tin-coated steel. The closure arrangement and final filling or closing process must be agreed for the intended product. “Three-piece” does not by itself establish food suitability, airtightness or resistance to a particular filling process.

Confirm the complete packaging system

Ask the supplier to confirm the can body, ends, coating and closing process as one specification. If your product has special content-contact or processing requirements, provide them before sampling. A sample approved for appearance alone does not confirm suitability for the intended contents.

Questions buyers ask

What sizes are available?

Share the diameter and height you need, or a measured reference sample. Available sizes and tooling requirements are confirmed by project; no standard size list is published here.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on the format, tooling and print requirement. Request a quotation for the quantity per size and design rather than assuming one site-wide minimum.

Can three-piece cans carry custom artwork?

OEM projects can include your branding. Share the artwork and requested finish so the proposed layout and sampling requirements can be reviewed.
